Week 4 Waivers + Last Chance Grabs
Another week, another time for waivers. There are no can’t miss players available in 0% of leagues. However, there are players who the opportunity is closing in on (owned in less than 50% of leagues).
Mecole Hardman, Chiefs – 44% owned, Tyreek Hill is trending in the right direction. Hardman has seemed to have planted himself into a valuable role in the Chiefs offense. Patrick Mahomes is his quarterback, get Hardman. When Hill comes back Hardman could very easily be the number 2 as the Chiefs are speculated to move on from Watkins next season. Hardman is worth 10 – 15% of your budget if he’s still available.
Frank Gore, Bills – 44% owned, with Devin Singletary out Gore has really taken control of the Buffalo back field. 49 snaps, 14 carries, 2 targets, for 2 receptions. He is a volume play, and he needs to be owned. He has a tough match up against the Patriots this week, who haven’t allowed an offensive touchdown this season, but that will eventually give. Gore has the volume and touchdown upside weekly.
DJ Chark, Jaguars – 41% owned, Minshew Mania is sweeping the nation, and the biggest beneficiary, DJ Chark. I had a lot of hope for the Jaguars offense this season with John Defillipo calling plays. Chark is worth owning. The Jaguars have a tough match up against the Denver next week but after that their schedule is smooth sailing. 10% of FAAB would be good enough to acquire Chark.
Darrell Williams, Chiefs – 2.5% owned, he had 9 attempts Sunday against the Ravens, with 5 receptions. I wouldn’t spend a lot, as eventually Damien Williams will eventually be back for his ‘job’. If McCoy misses time or keeps reaggravating his ankle injury Williams will provide you with a few weeks’ worth of upside. No more than 7% FAAB, as he won’t be a weekly starter.
Wayne Gallman, Giants – 1.2% owned, Saquon to miss time is the only reason we’re talking about him. He isn’t going to give you Saquon numbers but he’s a starter on what looks like an offense with new life. He is worth about 20-25% FAAB only because he is not going to be a weekly starter, Barkley will come back.
Streamers of the Week:
QB: Daniel Jones – He shredded the Buccaneers in his rookie debut. Now he has the Redskins, sign me up. He’s 14.6% owned and is the best streaming option this week.
TE: Will Dissly – TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews, and Greg Olsen. What do these players have in common? They racked up fantasy points against the Arizona Cardinals. Will Dissly gets his chance now. Russel Wilson has always struggled with divisional games, but he hasn’t played the Kliff Kingsbury Cardinals, and his chance to tear it up with Dissly. Dissly is 27.3% owned and is the number one streaming option for tight ends.
