Love It or List It - Post Draft WR Edition
Today we’re going to talk about the receivers who have been unaffected or affected by the NFL Draft. This may be more negative as we’re going to focus on the teams who have drafted wide receivers as apposed to the ones who didn’t.
Larry Fitzgerald – List it. Kliff brought in guys he likes, he grabbed Andy Isabella who is lighting quick, and Hakeem Butler. Kirk can play the slot role and I could foresee a move there in the future. Larry is old and I would not be surprised if Kliff fazes him out and Larry retires after this season.
Devin Funchess – List it. I was excited for this. Funchess is a big bodied red zone threat who could steal from work from Ebron and Doyle. Now all three of them will be fighting for work. Paris Cambell is going to be the new number 2 there on the later half of the season once he gets integrated. Its sad we won’t get to see what Funchess can do with Luck, but he should hold some value in the first few weeks of the season as a streamable wide receiver.
Corey Davis – List it. I love Corey Davis, but with the adding of AJ Brown its going to be a battle for targets. The entire Titans camp wants to mold the offense around Henry, and Mariota isn’t the best quarterback to have. Davis and AJ Brown can get all the targets they want but they aren’t valuable ones. I’m off Corey Davis this season.
Dede Westbrook / Keelan Cole – Love it. They Jags grabbed no one in the draft, except for tight end Josh Oliver. They focused on boosting their O-Line for Foles and rebuilding their defense they had to strip apart to sign Foles. One of these guys will have value, if I had to choose, I’d go with Westbrook as he is the slot receiver, but Cole is worth a grab too in drafts this season.
Equanimeous St. Brown / Marquez Valdes-Scantling – Love it. The Packers grabbed nobody in the draft. They didn’t pay Geronimo Allison, which means they might be moving on from him. St. Brown and Valdes should hold value with Aaron Rodgers as their QB and should be picked up in all leagues this season.
Dante Pettis – List it. This hurts I love Pettis. They grabbed Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd with their 2nd and 3rd round picks. With Pettis, Kittle, Goodwin, and these two there is a lot of mouths to feed there. The rookies will be easier to grab in drafts this season, but I wouldn’t except a breakout right away. Pettis should remain as the number one receiver so I’m still drafting him, but I’m not excited for it.
